Train interactions with my Dog!!

Taking your dog on public transportation—like the London Underground—can seem intimidating at first. But with a little training and patience, it can actually be a fun bonding experience.

Before our first ride, I made sure my dog knew the basics: sit, stay, heel. Trust me, these simple commands go a long way when you’re navigating a crowded, noisy train. I also kept treats handy to reward good behavior on the go.

To ease her into the chaos, we practiced in busy parks and markets. That helped her get used to the sounds and movement of crowds. We also spent time in small spaces like elevators so she’d feel more at ease in tight train cars.

Short leash? Always. It gives you better control and helps your dog feel secure. And don’t forget the essentials—water, poop bags, and basic grooming. A clean, calm dog makes the trip better for everyone.

With a little prep, what started as a nerve-wracking idea turned into a surprisingly smooth—and even enjoyable—adventure.
