After being scolded for using her phone too much, a nurse was demoted and told to start bathing patients. Though humiliated, she followed orders.
Her first assignment was to wash a young man who’d been paralyzed for years — only able to move his neck and eyes. As she gently cleaned him, she suddenly felt his hand grab her thigh.
She screamed — but the man looked just as terrified.
“I didn’t do anything,” he said weakly. “I can’t move…”
The doctor rushed in, examined him, and gasped.
“You touched his ulnar nerve — it triggered a reflex! His nerves are responding!”
