Oral cancer can develop on the lips, tongue, cheeks, gums, or other parts of the mouth — and early signs are easy to miss. A sore that won’t heal within two weeks is a major warning sign.
Watch for red or white patches, unexplained bleeding, lumps, rough spots, numbness, or pain. Trouble chewing, swallowing, or moving your jaw can also be red flags.
If you notice any of these changes, see a dentist or doctor right away. Early detection can save lives.
