Society judges women’s bodies harshly, and motherhood only adds to the pressure. After having four children, Danisha decided to stop hiding—and start embracing the changes her body had gone through.
“No one told me I’d have so much loose skin and stretch marks,” she said. “My body just didn’t look the same anymore. But I’ve learned to accept and love it.”
Fed up with filtered celebrity pregnancy photos and unrealistic expectations, Danisha took to Instagram to share her journey. Her message to other moms: “Your body isn’t broken—society is.”
She admits the road to self-love hasn’t been easy. Online negativity can be tough, but she keeps going, proud of the body that carried four children. “My pouch and stretch marks don’t make me less beautiful. They’re proof of strength.”
Danisha wants new moms to know it’s okay if their bodies change. “It’s normal not to fit into your pre-pregnancy clothes. Sizing up is nothing to be ashamed of.”
Her stretch marks, which she calls “tiger stripes,” are now a source of pride. “My tummy was home to my kids. They love it—and so do I.”
Her message is simple: No matter what your body looks like, you’re still worthy, still beautiful.
