A shocking tragedy unfolded in Brighton, England, when 18-year-old Verphy Kudi left her 16-month-old daughter, Asiah, alone at home while she went on a six-day birthday trip. During that time, Asiah suffered from starvation and dehydration and sadly died before help could arrive.

Security footage showed Verphy leaving on December 5 and returning on December 11, only to find her daughter unconscious. Paramedics confirmed Asiah had passed hours earlier.
