Some surprising facts about Melania Trump that you might not know

Before becoming First Lady, Melania Trump began studying architecture in Slovenia but left after a year to pursue modeling in Milan and Paris. She went on to appear in top magazines like Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Sports Illustrated.

Standing at 5’11”, she is one of the tallest U.S. First Ladies, alongside Eleanor Roosevelt and Michelle Obama, and only the second Catholic First Lady after Jackie Kennedy.

Melania waited five months after Trump’s 2017 inauguration to move into the White House, staying in New York until their son Barron finished fifth grade.

Originally from Slovenia, she speaks five languages and brought a global presence to the role. In 2025, she made headlines by launching her own cryptocurrency, $Melania.

As First Lady, she focused on children’s well-being and internet safety through her “Be Best” campaign.
