Erin and Abby Delaney were born in 2016 with their heads joined—an extremely rare condition called craniopagus. At just one year old, doctors performed a risky 10-hour surgery to separate not only their skulls but parts of their brains. Against all odds, both girls survived.

Their recovery was long and tough, but today, at 9 years old, they laugh, play, and live like other kids. Their mom says the most beautiful thing is seeing them hug each other—something once thought impossible.
