She Was Once a Movie Star Whose Gaze and Intense Blue Eyes Drove Fans Wild

Meg Foster, known for her piercing blue eyes and captivating gaze, rose to Hollywood fame in the 1970s and ’80s. Born in 1948 in Pennsylvania, she trained at New York’s Neighborhood Playhouse and began her career on stage before moving to film and TV.

Her breakout came with the 1971 TV movie The Death of Me Yet, and she went on to star in films like The Fan (1981), The Osterman Weekend (1982), and John Carpenter’s They Live (1988). She also played Detective Chris Cagney in Cagney & Lacey, leaving a lasting impression despite her brief role.

Though Hollywood shifted toward younger talent in the 1990s, Foster continued acting in indie films and guest TV appearances, including Rob Zombie’s Lords of Salem (2013), showing her talent hadn’t faded.

Today, she lives a quieter life in California, enjoying nature and family. Her iconic blue eyes and memorable performances keep her legacy alive, especially in horror and sci-fi, inspiring new generations through streaming services and classic films.
