Sally Field Names Her Worst On-Screen Kiss—And Fans Are Shocked
Acting icon Sally Field, 76, didn’t hold back during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live when asked about her worst on-screen kiss. After a brief pause, she surprised everyone by naming her former flame and Smokey and the Bandit co-star Burt Reynolds.
Even though they were dating at the time, Field said their kissing scenes were far from romantic. “It just was not something he really did for you,” she admitted, adding that there was “a lot of drooling” involved.
Field and Reynolds had a high-profile relationship that began in 1977 and lasted about five years. While Reynolds later said he regretted how things ended, Field told Variety she completely cut off contact with him for the last 30 years of his life, describing him as “not good for me in any way.”
Despite the rocky romance, Field remains a beloved figure in Hollywood, still earning accolades and admired for her honesty—both on-screen and off.
