The community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 15-year-old Aleia Kuhn, who tragically passed away just days before her 16th birthday during a youth event at Philippi Baptist Church on June 18, 2025. Her passing has left her family, friends, and classmates in deep grief, with social media filled with tributes honoring her joyful spirit and kind heart.
Aleia’s mother, Amanda Schroeder-Kuhn, shared a touching post calling her daughter her “sweetest baby girl” and “forever angel.” She asked for prayers for their family—Aleia’s father, Christopher, and her brothers, Corben and Colter—describing Aleia as her “backbone and heart,” and expressing the unbearable pain of losing someone so deeply loved.
Christopher Kuhn, Aleia’s father, remembered her as a “beautiful, sweet, God-fearing daughter” whose strong faith never wavered. His tribute reflected the immense love and loss he feels, along with the hope of seeing her again someday.
Though her time was short, Aleia left a powerful mark. Whether in the classroom or on the volleyball court, she was known for her warmth, her laughter, and her faith. Her memory now lives on in the hearts of those she touched—and in the belief that she is at peace, smiling in Heaven.
