Treviño Brothers Still Await Trial in Quintanilla Case
Christian and Alejandro Treviño have been jailed since January 2022, accused of attacking Gabriel Quintanilla after he allegedly abused a younger relative. They were 17 and 18 at the time.
A third man, Juan Melendez, also faces charges but was released on bond in August 2022.
DNA evidence, including brass knuckles found in a GMC truck, is still pending. Christian faces capital murder and assault charges; Alejandro and Melendez are charged with aggravated assault.
Their trial has been delayed, with a new date yet to be set. All three return to court on April 7.
