Fifteen-year-old Alisa Petrov from South Jordan, Utah, was found safe on June 1, 2025, after she walked into a police station in Colorado Springs and identified herself. She had been missing since April 21, when she left school and was later seen boarding a train to Provo.
Investigators believe Alisa had been using social media to communicate with strangers before her disappearance. She was classified as an endangered runaway. During the investigation, multiple individuals were arrested—men from Florida, Texas, and Utah—on charges related to inappropriate communication with a minor. However, none have been directly linked to her disappearance.
Alisa’s parents shared their relief and gratitude in a statement posted online, thanking law enforcement, the community, and support organizations for their help throughout the nearly six-week search.
