What started as a typical rainy afternoon in a Gurgaon park turned terrifying in an instant.

Four men, caught in an unexpected downpour, huddled under a large tree—just trying to stay dry. Moments later, a blinding flash lit up the sky, followed by a deafening crack. In an instant, all four were on the ground, struck by lightning.

“I heard this huge boom, and when I turned around, they were just lying there,” said Rakesh, a jogger who witnessed the scene. “It felt like the sky had exploded.”

Panic spread through the park as people rushed to help. Someone called emergency services, and within minutes, ambulances arrived. The victims were quickly taken to a nearby hospital.

Thankfully, doctors say all four men are in stable condition and expected to recover.

The incident serves as a sobering reminder: when thunder roars, it’s best to head indoors—not under a tree. Weather, after all, doesn’t always give warnings.
