Fox News Personality Passed Away At 45

Fox News Contributor Dr. Kelly Powers Dies at 45 After Brave Battle with Brain Cancer

Dr. Kelly Powers, a respected surgeon and frequent Fox News contributor, has passed away at the age of 45 following a courageous battle with brain cancer, according to the Daily Mail.

Diagnosed in 2020 with glioblastoma—one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer—Dr. Powers faced her illness with remarkable strength and optimism. Her GoFundMe page revealed that she underwent three surgeries, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. Thanks to her determination and intensive treatment, she experienced a period of remission just a year after her diagnosis.

In 2021, after navigating both cancer and fertility struggles, Dr. Powers and her husband, Steve, welcomed their son, Bennett, via surrogate—a deeply joyful moment in the midst of hardship.

Sadly, her cancer returned in 2024. Refusing to give up, she began raising funds to pursue a promising experimental treatment available only in Germany.

Born in Yonkers, New York, Dr. Powers followed her calling into medicine by attending the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completing her residency at Boston University School of Medicine. She went on to establish a successful surgical career, admired by colleagues and patients alike for her skill and compassionate care.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Powers became a familiar face on Fox News and Fox Business, where she appeared regularly on shows like Red Eye and Fox & Friends. She brought her medical expertise to the public with clarity and warmth, often discussing important health topics in a way viewers could easily relate to—such as her segment on “five body pains you should never ignore.”

Dr. Kelly Powers will be remembered not just for her medical achievements and TV appearances, but for her courage, dedication, and the love she had for her family.
