Donald Trump’s Turnberry golf resort in Scotland was vandalized early in the morning with red paint and damage to the course. Police called it a “malicious and targeted act” and have arrested one man, 33-year-old Kieran Robson, while two older individuals were questioned and released as the investigation continues.
Trump condemned the attack, calling it “an assault on civility and the rule of law,” and praised police for acting quickly. He said the resort stands for “hard work and Scottish pride” and promised legal action.
The vandalism included red paint splashed on the clubhouse and signs, as well as damage to the greens. Repairs are underway, the resort remains open, and security has been tightened.
Trump bought Turnberry in 2014 and poured over $200 million into restoring it. While some speculate the incident was politically driven, even critics agree it crossed a line.
Police are still gathering information and ask the public to come forward with any tips.
