Elton John has tested positive for COVID-19, forcing him to postpone two Amsterdam shows on his farewell tour. In a candid Instagram post, the 76-year-old music legend joked that despite being fully vaccinated and boosted, “this damn virus found me.”
The diagnosis came shortly after his emotional Glastonbury performance. Fans and fellow artists flooded his comments with support, while health experts praised his openness for encouraging others to take the virus seriously.
John reassured fans he’s resting at home with “books, a piano, and sequined masks,” promising his postponed shows will return “even more explosive” in August.
