During my last flight, a seven-year-old boy kept hitting my seat: nothing would calm him down, so here’s what I decided to do

😦 On my last flight, a seven-year-old kept hitting my seat, and nothing seemed to calm him down—so I had to get creative.

After a long business trip, I was exhausted and just wanted to get home and catch some sleep. I had settled in, ready to doze off, when the little boy behind me started chatting nonstop, asking his mom question after question. You know how kids can be—talking about anything and everything, whether it makes sense or not.

Normally, I wouldn’t mind, but that day, I was too tired to handle it. On top of the constant chatter, he kept tapping my seat—first a light poke, then louder and louder.

Polite requests to his mom and even the flight attendant’s attempts didn’t work. I realized I had to take matters into my own hands.

At my wit’s end, I came up with a subtle plan. I leaned back—accidentally spilling juice on the mom’s lap. Chaos erupted instantly. She jumped up, yelling, and the boy finally stopped under her stern glare.

After that, the rest of the flight was almost completely silent. He didn’t bother me again.
