Convicted Bloomingdale Rapist Kendrick Morris May Be Eligible for Early Release

Library Attacker Denied Reduced Sentence

Kendrick Morris, who brutally attacked 18-year-old Queena Phu in 2008, leaving her blind and paralyzed, was denied a reduced sentence last month.

Despite a Supreme Court ruling offering parole chances for juvenile offenders, the judge instead sentenced Morris to life in prison, calling the crime “atrocious and cruel.”

“This feels like justice—but it’s heartbreaking,” said Queena’s sister, Anna Donato. “Both lives were destroyed that day.”

Morris, already serving a life sentence for a separate 2007 rape, will be eligible for sentence review in 2031.
