It was just a normal night. My wife and I were sound asleep, the kids tucked into bed. Everything was calm—until around 3AM, when our Labrador, Semi, suddenly burst into our bedroom.
Semi’s never broken the rules. He’s gentle, loyal, and always respectful. So when he jumped onto the bed and barked at my wife’s chest, I panicked. But then I heard it—faint creaking outside our door.
That’s when I realized—this wasn’t about us. It was about danger.
Semi stood alert, guarding the door. I woke my wife, grabbed the kids, and we hid in the bathroom while I called 911.
Minutes later, the police arrived and caught two burglars inside the house. They had slipped in through a window while we were sleeping.
Thanks to Semi, no one was hurt. We rewarded our furry hero with a giant bone and a cozy blanket.
He now sleeps right outside our door—our loyal protector, always on watch.
