The courtroom was silent as the judge read the verdict:
“Former officer Alex Miller is found guilty of corruption and abuse of power…”

Alex stood frozen, fists clenched, barely hearing the words. His voice broke as he whispered, “Please… let me say goodbye to Rex. He’s all I have left.”

Moments later, Rex, his loyal German shepherd, entered the courtroom. Alex dropped to his knees, embracing him.
“I’m sorry, Rex… I failed you…”

But then something unexpected happened. Rex pulled away and walked toward another officer—Oliver, Alex’s former colleague and key witness against him. The dog growled and pawed at Oliver’s chest pocket.

Inside was a flash drive.

When they played it, the truth unraveled—Oliver had framed Alex. The video showed him taking bribes, forging documents, and saying, “We’ll pin it all on Miller.”

The judge halted the hearing, declared the verdict invalid, and ordered Oliver’s arrest.

Still kneeling, Alex looked at Rex, overwhelmed.
“You saved me,” he whispered.
