A 3-year-old boy and his loyal German shepherd were inseparable — they played, watched cartoons, and even napped together. One night, the parents smiled at the sweet sight of their son asleep in the dog’s embrace.
But the next morning brought horror. The boy’s throat had swollen, his lips were blue, and he could barely breathe. Doctors said it was a severe allergic reaction caused by close contact with the dog’s fur and saliva.
Thanks to a quick ambulance call, the child survived. His parents later learned that even healthy, clean pets can trigger sudden allergies in young children.
