Hainault Sword Attack: Everyday Heroes 💔
In April 2024, 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin lost his life in a horrifying sword attack in Hainault. Several others were injured, including a police officer and a father defending his family.
Inspector Moloy Campbell was hurt while tackling the attacker, Marcus Monzo, but credits his team: “I just did what had to be done.”
Henry De Los Rios Polania fought Monzo with his bare hands after the attacker broke into his home. Monzo backed off when he heard Henry’s young daughter cry. “I’m just surviving,” he said.
Monzo, 37, was found guilty of murder and attempted murder. His sentencing is pending.
Amid tragedy, courage stood tall.
