What started as a political partnership between Donald Trump and Elon Musk has exploded into a bitter feud.
The rift deepened after Musk announced plans to launch The America Party, a new political movement meant to rival both Republicans and Democrats. He also criticized Trump’s sweeping “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” warning it would lead to massive job losses and pledging to fight it.
Trump fired back, mocking Musk’s efforts: “Third parties never work… it’s ridiculous.” On Truth Social, he called Musk a “train wreck.”
Their fallout traces back to Musk’s brief time in Trump’s administration and a since-retracted claim tying Trump to sealed Epstein documents. Trump also accused Musk of lobbying for personal gain at NASA.
Musk responded online: “We live under a one-party system… The America Party is here to restore your freedom.”
Whether Musk’s new party gains traction is uncertain — but their alliance is clearly over, and the clash is only heating up.
