I was hoping for a peaceful flight. But right after takeoff, the young woman in front of me kicked off her shoes, threw one foot onto the seat next to her, and stuck the other into the aisle. It wasn’t just rude — it reeked.
Passengers politely asked her to move, but she just hissed or rolled her eyes. When someone tried to squeeze by, she snapped, “What, can’t you go around?” Problem was, she’d sprawled out like she owned the row.
Even kids were commenting on the smell. That’s when I’d had enough.
I hit the call button and told the flight attendant, “She’s blocking the aisle — maybe she should pay for the seat she’s using?”
That got her attention. She protested, but another passenger chimed in: “Let’s make it official. I can record it if she refuses.”
The flight crew backed us up. In the end, she had to pay for the extra seat — at full price.
She finally sat properly. The smell faded. And from the back of the cabin… a small wave of applause.
