In a tragic and shocking event in India’s scorching Barmer district, a camel killed its owner after being left tied up for hours in extreme heat without water or shade.

The incident occurred in 2016 when temperatures had soared past 109°F. The camel, with its legs bound, had been suffering in the brutal sun while its owner, Urjaram, entertained guests inside. By the time he returned to untie the animal, it was too late.

Witnesses said the distressed camel snapped. In a terrifying outburst, it grabbed Urjaram by the neck, slammed him to the ground, and severed his head. The rampage lasted for hours, with villagers struggling to restrain the animal.

Locals claimed the camel and its owner had a history of conflict, hinting this was a tragedy years in the making.

Though camels are generally seen as gentle and loyal, experts warn they can become dangerously aggressive when mistreated. Weighing over a ton with crushing jaws and deadly kicks, camels are far from defenseless.
