shows moment LAPD trample man with horses repeatedly at anti-ICE protests

A disturbing video from a recent protest in Los Angeles shows a man being trampled by police horses during clashes over Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.

Hundreds of protesters gathered Friday night to oppose the raids, but what started as a demonstration quickly turned chaotic. In one viral clip, a man with a backpack lies on the ground, surrounded by officers on foot and horseback. He’s kicked and stamped on by horses, then struck on the head with a police baton. Despite managing to get up, an officer forcefully pushes him back down as the scene grows more intense.

The police were met with Molotov cocktails and rocks, responding with rubber bullets and tear gas. Among those caught in the chaos was Australian reporter Lauren Tomasi, who confirmed she and her cameraman were safe despite the volatile situation.

The next day, President Trump announced he had deployed 2,000 National Guard troops to LA, blaming local leaders for failing to control the violence against ICE agents. California Governor Gavin Newsom pushed back, calling the move illegal and demanding the troops be returned to state control, saying Trump’s actions only made tensions worse. LA Mayor Karen Bass also expressed concern about the fear spreading in the community, urging residents to stay safe as uncertainty grows.
