Whitney Decker is breaking her silence following the devastating loss of her three daughters—Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia (5)—who were allegedly murdered by their father, Travis Decker, a former Army Ranger with a documented history of mental health struggles.

Travis picked the girls up for a scheduled custody visit last Friday but never brought them back. Fearing for their safety, Whitney urged authorities to issue an Amber Alert. Her request was denied, with officials saying it didn’t meet the criteria.

On Monday, the girls were found dead at a campground in Leavenworth, Washington. Their wrists had been zip-tied, and they were suffocated with plastic bags. Travis fled into the nearby wilderness and is now wanted for first-degree murder and kidnapping. Authorities say he’s armed, dangerous, and capable of surviving in the wild due to his military background.

According to Whitney’s attorney, this tragedy might have been prevented if law enforcement had acted sooner. Travis had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and PTSD. He also failed to follow court-ordered requirements tied to his custody rights, including therapy and anger management. Whitney had raised red flags during their divorce, citing unsafe conditions during his visits with the children.

Despite her concerns, Whitney had tried to preserve the girls’ relationship with their father, believing he loved them and trusting him to return them—something he had always done before.

Now, a nationwide manhunt is underway. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Travis Decker’s arrest.
