This Woman Lost 518 Pounds At 57, And You Better Sit Down Before Seeing What She Looks Like After

Pauline Potter’s journey on My 600-Lb Life season 3 was anything but easy—but over the years, she’s become one of the show’s most inspiring success stories.

Back in 2011, Pauline made headlines as the Guinness World Record holder for the World’s Heaviest Woman, weighing over 700 pounds. At 51, she was struggling with serious health issues and heavily relied on her son for daily care. Hoping for change, she turned to Dr. Now for help.

Pauline didn’t have the smoothest start—she resisted Dr. Now’s strict diet and even gained weight during the show, peaking at 678 pounds. But after losing 44 pounds, she was approved for weight loss surgery. Her journey didn’t stop there—she faced setbacks, including an addiction to painkillers, but kept fighting.

Over time, Pauline lost an incredible 520 pounds. By 2019, she announced the end of her weight loss journey and looked forward to returning home to California after years in Houston.

Though not every story on My 600-Lb Life has a happy ending, Pauline’s transformation proves that with persistence and courage, change is possible.
