Tia Mowry’s Ex Cory Hardrict Says ‘I Love My Wife’ After Split

Cory Hardrict is opening a new chapter in his life—and doing it with grace, strength, and love.

The All American: Homecoming star, 44, made an appearance at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday, June 30, walking the red carpet solo following his divorce from actress Tia Mowry, 45. Although the two have gone their separate ways, Hardrict made it clear that there’s no bad blood between them.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the event in Los Angeles, Cory shared a heartfelt message about where things stand: “I have nothing but love for her.”

When asked how he manages to stay balanced personally and professionally after such a major life shift, he kept it simple: “I just put one foot in front of the other. I keep God first. Keep my head down and keep going.”

Hardrict and Mowry were one of Hollywood’s beloved couples, having been together for over two decades—including 14 years of marriage. They tied the knot in 2008 after dating for eight years and are proud parents to two children: son Cree, 13, and daughter Cairo, 6.

Despite the end of their romantic relationship, Hardrict emphasized that the bond they share—especially as co-parents—is unbreakable.

“It’s all love,” he said with sincerity. “We’re each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Our love is unconditional. We have an amazing co-parenting relationship.”

Tia, too, has been open about the emotional journey she’s experienced since their separation. Earlier this year, she shared a vulnerable post on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse into her healing process.

“Resilience: the art of bouncing back, stronger than before. ❤️,” she wrote alongside a video that included touching moments with her kids.

In her candid message, she described divorce as less of an ending and more of a complex, evolving chapter: “It’s not a destination—it’s the beginning of something new. There’s no one-size-fits-all manual for it.”

She added, “One moment you feel strong, like you’ve overcome so much. Then, out of nowhere, the emotions hit again. Especially when you have children, you try to be a role model, to teach them how to be resilient and care for themselves.”

Mowry shared that she’s leaned on journaling, exercise, meditation, and therapy to work through her emotions—and the dreams she once held for the future.

The couple publicly announced their separation in October 2022, and their divorce was finalized in April 2023. But through it all, they’ve remained united in their love for their children.

“I talk to [Cory] every single day,” Mowry told Us Weekly in a 2022 interview. “We tell each other we love each other every single day. He is family—and he always will be.”

Even in separation, Cory and Tia have shown that love can take many forms—and that respect, empathy, and commitment to family can endure beyond the end of a marriage.
