Man Gets The Perfect Revenge When The City Forces Him To Put His Boat Behind A Fence

Man Outsmarts HOA With Clever Boat Mural

When Etienne Constable’s homeowners association told him to hide his boat—or pay a $100 fine—he followed the rules… with a clever twist. The HOA required large vehicles like boats to be concealed behind a six-foot fence. So, Constable built the fence—then hired a local artist to paint a realistic mural of the boat on it, fully visible from the street.

The boat had been parked in his driveway for four years without issue—until the complaints rolled in. Instead of getting angry, he responded with humor and creativity, and his solution quickly went viral.

Now, neighbors are asking for custom murals of their own. As for the city? No official response yet on the cheeky artwork.
