RFK’s wife wants him to buy Washington home amidst infidelity rumors

RFK Jr. Buys $4.3M Georgetown Townhouse Amid Marriage Troubles

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has reportedly given in to wife Cheryl Hines’ push to move to Washington, D.C., recently purchasing a $4.34 million townhouse in the upscale Georgetown neighborhood.

The decision comes in the wake of claims that Kennedy engaged in inappropriate communication with journalist Olivia Nuzzi, putting a strain on the couple’s marriage.

The newly purchased 4,876-square-foot home, built in the early 1900s, includes a grand entry foyer, open-concept living and dining areas, and a master suite complete with a fireplace, steam shower, and cast iron tub. Just one block from Wisconsin Avenue, the location gives Kennedy a quick 15-minute commute to the White House, according to MEAWW News.

Sources say Hines pushed for the move in an effort to keep a closer eye on her husband. One insider quoted by MEAWW News said Hines was firm in her demand: “She wanted to live in Georgetown, in one of its beautiful row houses, and she was very bossy about it—basically gave him an ultimatum to move her to D.C. immediately or face the consequences.”

Kennedy, who has faced past allegations of infidelity in previous marriages, reportedly told her, “Ok, if you want to move to D.C., you find the house, you deal with the real estate. I have the health of the country to worry about.”

The move is seen as an attempt to repair their relationship and restore trust. Hines is also said to view living in Georgetown as a way to embrace the Kennedy family’s legacy—drawing inspiration from Jacqueline Kennedy’s iconic presence in the capital.

Whether the relocation will truly help the couple rebuild their marriage remains to be seen.
