The sun poured through the stained-glass windows of St. Mary’s Cathedral as Thomas waited nervously at the altar. When Emily appeared, glowing in her white gown, the room fell silent in awe.
But halfway down the aisle, something strange happened — the bottom of her dress moved. At first, everyone thought it was just nerves or fabric catching… until a faint meow echoed through the church.
Emily froze, blushing, then lifted her gown slightly. Out crawled a tiny orange-and-white kitten.
For a moment, no one breathed. Then laughter filled the cathedral. Emily scooped up the kitten and smiled through her embarrassment. “Everyone, meet Muffin — she didn’t want to miss the wedding!”
Thomas laughed, taking the kitten in his arms. “Looks like we’re a family of three now.”
The rest of the ceremony was pure joy. Muffin purred through the vows and meowed right as the couple kissed, earning cheers from the crowd.
At the reception, the kitten became the star — guests took photos, kids played with her, and someone even made her a tiny flower crown.
That night, Muffin curled up in Emily’s lap as the couple reflected on the day.
“She didn’t want me to start my new life without her,” Emily whispered.
Thomas smiled. “Then she’s ours.”
Years later, their favorite wedding photo wasn’t the kiss — it was the one where a little kitten peeked out from under the bride’s dress.
Because sometimes, the sweetest moments are the ones you never plan.
