In the golden grasslands of Africa, a curious baby elephant wandered too far from his herd while chasing a butterfly. By the time he looked up, he was alone — and a pack of hyenas had surrounded him.
The calf tried to stand tall, flapping his ears and trumpeting in fear, but the hyenas only closed in. His cries echoed across the plains, too far for his mother to reach in time.
Then, the ground began to tremble. Out from behind a hill charged an old rhinoceros, scarred and massive. Without hesitation, he stormed into the circle, scattering the hyenas in every direction.
When the dust settled, the rhino gently lowered his head toward the trembling calf — as if to say, you’re safe now. Moments later, the mother arrived and wrapped her trunk around her baby in relief.
The rhino gave one final snort and disappeared into the tall grass, leaving behind a story the herd would never forget — that even in the wild, courage can come from the most unexpected places.
