A young police officer had been in a coma for over a month after a serious brain injury. Doctors had lost hope and prepared to turn off his life support. Before doing so, they agreed to let his K9 partner, a young dog named Lari, say goodbye.
Lari walked into the quiet hospital room, paused, then jumped onto the bed. He barked, nudged the officer’s hand, and lay across his chest—like he was trying to wake him up.
