He Couldn’t Even Kiss His Wife Because of His Nose—Wait Until You See Him Now

For six years, 68-year-old Gerard McAliece from Kilmacolm, Scotland, lived with an extreme case of rhinophyma — a condition that made his nose grow so large it covered his mouth. He couldn’t kiss his wife, Carol, or even enjoy a pint at the pub. Embarrassed and often ridiculed, Gerard avoided people altogether.

At last, encouraged by Carol, he sought help at the Ever Clinic in Glasgow. Surgeons called it their toughest case yet — but the results were remarkable.

“The transformation has been fantastic,” Gerard said. “Carol says I’m back to being the man I used to be.”

Now, he’s living fully again — sharing laughs, dinners, and those long-missed pints with confidence and joy.
