After struggling to conceive, Guillermina and Fernando Garcia turned to fertility treatment — and got the surprise of a lifetime. An ultrasound revealed not one baby, but five.
Despite high blood pressure and other complications, Guillermina carried the pregnancy to 31½ weeks. A team of 40 doctors delivered three girls and two boys — Esmeralda, Fatima, Marissa, Fernando, and Jordan — all within two minutes.
“We feel like we’re dreaming,” Fernando said. While the couple admits parenting five newborns will be daunting, they’re overjoyed and hopeful for the future.
