A day of practice ended in tragedy when 14-year-old Camden Trail of Bassett, Virginia, lost his life in a motocross accident on June 7, 2025. The fatal incident occurred during a routine practice at East Bend Motorsports in North Carolina, when Camden was involved in a midair collision with another rider. Track officials confirmed it was a tragic accident, with no fault assigned to either rider. Despite immediate medical attention, Camden could not be saved.
Known for his fearless spirit and kind heart, Camden loved anything with speed—motocross, mountain biking, and jet skiing—and even ran his own lawn care business. Born in 2011, he was cherished by family, friends, and his close-knit community.
His funeral took place on June 10, and a GoFundMe organized by East Bend Motorsports is helping support his family during this difficult time. The track also plans to honor Camden with a memorial plaque and the inaugural “Cam” Memorial Shoot-Out Race, scheduled for June 6, 2026.
Though gone far too soon, Camden’s energy, joy, and determination left a deep mark. His legacy lives on in the hearts of everyone he inspired.
